First Impact Update 2025 – adOpes Microleasing Fund

“The impact of our actions will be judged not by what we measure, but by the lives we change.” – Anonymous

We are pleased to share some impact milestones from the first quarter of 2025. These outcomes reflect the ongoing commitment of our SACCOs / MFIs and the resilience of smallholder farmers in advancing inclusive, climate-smart development across the region.

  • A total of 16,893 productive assets were financed for smallholder farmers, these include farm tools, livestock, landleases, small transport and biogas and solar kits
  • 67% of assets were acquired by women, contributing to gender equity
  • Projected income growth for farmers is estimated at USD 7 million over the next three years
  • Deployment of climate- and energy-smart assets resulted in an estimated 3,000 tCO in avoided greenhouse gas emissions
  • Our partner SACCOs and MFIs mobilized an additional USD 953,851 to meet rising demand
  • These institutions also expanded their workforce by 65 jobs, of which 49% are held by women
  • Portfolio quality improved quarter-over-quarter, reaching zero non-performing loans

As we continue to scale, we are actively working to meet a current financing demand of USD 47.7 million across 96 institutions in the region.

We extend our sincere thanks to our SACCOs and MFIs, investors, and the farming communities we serve. We look forward to building on this momentum and deepening our shared impact in the months ahead.
